Cook has worked across genres from jazz to pop to blues and everything in between for nearly 20 years, as musical director, sideman and leader. He is currently the musical director for Taylor Swift, Kesha, Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris and several other artists. As a sideman he has played in bands led by Mark Guiliana, Lizz Wright, Bob Reynolds, Sunny Jain and more. And as a leader he has released 2 critically acclaimed jazz records on the Brooklyn Jazz Underground label, Pathway and Scenic Design.
Cook is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan school of music, and serves as adjunct professor in the jazz department at Montclair State University’s John J. Cali school of music.
His latest release "Loyal Returns" is out now.
