A longstanding regular on the NYC music scene, Guy Furrow (aka Miss Guy) first made a name for himself as the lead singer of punk band Toilet Boys, formed in the late ’90s. He has collaborated on musical projects with some of New York's most legendary artists, Debbie Harry and Boy George among them, and toured the globe with The Ramones, Blondie and Joan Jett. You should also take a look at his photographs! Here, we get the lowdown on Guy's greatest loves—"Music and animals. I like to travel. I’m happiest on a beach"—and the local spots he keeps coming back to.

WHAT WOULD THE TITLE OF YOUR AUTOBIOGRAPHY BE?
We Didn’t Ask For Your Life Story, Miss Guy!

WHAT CAN’T YOU TRAVEL WITHOUT AND WHY?
Water, music and good headphones.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION AND WHY?
Any place that’s warm and has a nice beach. I also really love going to London.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN NYC?
Stay home. If it’s warm and sunny, I like to take walks along the Hudson River.

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ONE PERSON TO SHOW YOU “THEIR NEW YORK CITY,” WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Ace Frehley from KISS. I’d like to hear his pre-fame memories of hanging out in the glam-rock scene of the early ’70s and seeing the New York Dolls.

WHAT OR WHO HAS INSPIRED YOU RECENTLY AND WHY?
Friends constantly inspire me. Animals inspire me. The streets of New York City have always been a source of inspiration. Anything beautiful inspires me, and all of these things I mentioned are beautiful to me.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE NYC RESTAURANTS? WHAT DO YOU ORDER THERE?
I love Café Mogador on St. Marks. I love love love the spicy carrots. I also love Veselka for their vegetable soup and they have great fries.

Fonda for margaritas. And they have the best guacamole in the world. Seriously.

Depends how late you’re talking but I like a drink or three at Empire.

I’m not a big fan of shopping but I Need More is definitely the coolest store in NYC.
